New Month, New Announcements

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF MAY!

How are your 2010 goals coming along? We're almost half-way through the year. Now would be a good time to look back on the yearly expectations you set for yourself in January and possibly make some adjustments.

Upcoming guest posts by Lydia:

"The Long and the Short of It", an article discussing the similarities and differences between writing short stories and novels, will be published on The Other Side of the Story May 4, 2010.

"Defeat the Wicked Witch of Writer's Block", an article about... well, that should be obvious, will be published on Writer Unboxed June 30, 2010.

For anyone who missed the earlier announcement, I am now a semi-regular contributor for Writer Unboxed, currently slotted for two guest posts per year. My second post for 2010 is tentatively scheduled for October 29, and the topic will be announced at a later date (because I haven't written it yet. haha).

Other guest posts are currently in the works. Once finalized, I will update the "Featured Article" section of the sidebar.

Open call for guest book reviews to be posted on The Sharp Angle in June:

To kick-off a summer full of reading, I would like to post a variety of book reviews in the month of June, written by guest bloggers, covering the genres of science fiction, fantasy, women's fiction, and young adult, including any sub-genres within those. I have not decided yet whether this will be a full week of guest reviews, or a once-per-week guest review through the month. Books do not have to be newly released.
